IMG_7861.JPG The entrance to the "Aquarium of the Americas." The water is obviously all around, fun to watch but hard to photograph. The aquarium is downtown adjacent to the ferry (and riverboat) docks, a very short walk from the French Quarter.
IMG_7865.JPG The two of us in the water tunnel. What looks like giant people looking at us in the glass is just a reflection of the people behind us. We're still wearing the free Mardis Gras beads we got at the Mardis Gras museum. Why not!

IMG_7901.JPG Penguins chat with a boy.
IMG_7911.JPG The best photo of the penguins I could get. The glass was *very* dirty, a real shame. If you want to see penguins without looking through glass just visit the New England Aquarium in Boston.

IMG_7922.JPG Back at the penguins, it's feeding time!
IMG_7932.JPG A seahorse. Yes, they're real and not just made up to sell make-believe products in the back of comic books. They are very small though.
IMG_7934.JPG A seadragon - really!
IMG_7940.JPG Much to Alysa's thrill, they had a large frog exhibit. It was good, but not quite as good as one we saw last fall at the Mystic Aquarium in Connecticut.

IMG_7942.JPG Frog on a limb. You can see a reflection of me taking the photo in the background.
IMG_7949.JPG The exhibit also suffered from dirty glass, making some frogs difficult to enjoy and photograph.
IMG_7950.JPG This was funny. Four flogs (the rightmost three being identical) in similar positions.
IMG_7955.JPG A great looking blue frog. Apparently, quite poisonous.

IMG_7962.JPG Jellyfish.

IMG_7966.JPG Another jellyfish. I really like the way they move.
IMG_7967.JPG In the frog exibit, a Kermit Frog. A very friendly fellow.
IMG_7968.JPG A slightly fuzzy photo of a dancing frog, apparently native to the Warner Bros. studio lot. (I'm not kidding about these items being in the frog exhibit though!)
