Here's Guster, a Boston-area band at the show.

IMG_7248.JPG
More of Guster. I'd never heard them before, but they have a good sound and had the audience very entertained.

A creature from Spongebob Squarepants enjoys the show.

Guster lead singer again. I couldn't stay long - I ran to see them after moe., and had to find food and bring it back to Alysa before David Byrne came on.

More Bonnaroo-unique body art. She was laying in the middle of Centeroo near the vendors.

I have NO idea what this was. Some sort of contest of bizarre musical acts perhaps.

Another member of this odd troupe.

And one more.

Oy.

Someone forgot to shower this morning.

This mud-covered guy was well-equipped with beer and cigarettes. And he was quite impressed when I could tell this was a Boston Red Sox jersey. He told me the back said "Claypool", as in Les Claypool, a musician who might (or might not!) have a Boston connection.

More results of mud activity.

My shoes again, after coming back with dinner. Believe it or not, and I'm not making thus up, this was the very first day I've ever worn these shoes. High-top sneakers bought near Raleigh, they were pulled into service after my regular pair were drenched the night before.

David Byrne, lead singer of Talking Heads. He was GREAT!

IMG_7292.JPG

IMG_7295.JPG
He's not exactly in the list of performers I'd expect for this crowd, mostly college-age kids to a bit older. Talking Heads had its peak in the early/mid-80's. I had the gut feeling much of the crowd barely knew who he was, but when he got on stage he had the whole crowd going. A very entertaining show.
