Equestrian patrol at work.

A formerly black car.

Still early morning, and still hot enough for a 5 pound bag of ice on the head.

Tents as far as the eye can see. On my morning walk I went through and around about 20% of the camping areas, and walked three miles. (I carried my eTrex Vista handheld GPS unit the whole weekend, which counted my total distance walking at 21.24 miles.)

The most unique tent I've seen.

Here, a budding arist spells "Hello Roo!" with cans in the fence. Clever!

Close-up of the large teepee, and a smaller one I hadn't seen from the main path.

Must have been a late night. (At 9:30am I'll guess only 30% of the crowd was actually awake.)

Horseback patrol again. I really wonder what these folks (and their horses) thought of the weekend.

Looking through the archway to the main stage. Nothing starts until noon or so, thus very little activity.

Some morning musicians next to the arch.

Muddy road of centeroo.

Second floor of the Common Ground Cafe.

View from the second floor. In two hours this whole area will be filled with people.

Bonnaroo provided a very small number of free water stations; this is the only one I could find. Here people use it for shoe-washing. Would you want to drink from this?

His crown obviously didn't come with sunscreen.

What happens when you go camping with 90,000 friends? Generate lots of lots of trash!

IMG_7062.JPG
And I mean LOTS of trash.

IMG_7065.JPG
Here's the frame of a tent, probably ripped apart by the wind the night before.
