IMG_4397.JPG As we drive south on the highway towards the exit, we see cars lined up for miles on the opposite side.
|
IMG_4401.JPG After we've been parked just a short while, here's a photo of our GPS showing Bonnaroo 15.7 miles away.
|
IMG_4402.JPG We left Nashville at 8:30am. It's an hour drive to Manchester, TN, the location of Bonnaroo so we got to the general area at 9:30am or so. This is at 10:20am so we haven't been waiting very long. This is 10-15 miles south of the actual entrance.

IMG_6378.JPG Cornfields. At least we had some nice scenery along the way. All traffic was directed from the south of the show. Those from the north were sent further south on the highway, then took this country road in. Those from the south were lined up in the righthand lane of the highway for the same distance. Better here than the highway!

IMG_6388.JPG A helicopter flying overhead. Not sure if this was for traffic control or news.
|
IMG_6391.JPG I think we were blocked off at key intersections, and only allowed to move forward when there was plenty of room. This was very good for us, as everyone could wander about instead of riding the brakes all day.

IMG_6396.JPG Nearing 11am, the line goes back as far as the eye can see.
|
IMG_6398.JPG Nobody was very upset at the delay; many had been through it previously, and others had heard the rumors. So many found ways to entertain themselves. My entertainment was taking photos.

IMG_6402.JPG Here's our truck and trailer on the left. Most came in their cars, but I did talk to one other coming in an RV not far ahead of us.

IMG_6424.JPG Two women from central NY. This is their first music festival, surprising since they live near moe.down's site.
